Resolutions

Haz'rd Vulp
Backing towards the door Haz'rd prepared himself. The Aqku would likely not break through, but that was no guarantee. A few Vulpens went with the Maqku, but many followed Haz'rd through the back door, watching their collective tails as they went.

To the left of the door three Aqku were charging at the Vulpens. They fired a few rounds and the men were taken down. Here it was decided they would do better if they weren't in the trenches, but could fire down on it. With that idea each Vulpen helped each other up on top of the shelter they were in.

Looking around they could see the shelter was like a giant square, as the trench ran around it. They moved together and when one fired at the enemy, many did. With this tactic they easily shot through weak spots in the Aqku's armor, while the troops without armor never stood a chance.

After a few minutes of being on the roof of the shelter, there was an explosion towards the rear of the Maqku forces. The Aqku streamed in but were trapped, while the Vulpen's had a clear shot at them without retaliation.

They seemed to have noticed this, as the Aqku started drawing back. Once no more Aqku troops filed in, a strange man in robes appeared on top of the shelter with the Vulpen. He uttered something they could not understand, and each one fell unconscious for a time.

When they awoke there were a few Maqku troops that had joined them up there. It about looked like they were going to skin the Vulpen when their eyes suddenly opened up. A few muttered curses at the men and pushed them away.

As they got down from the roof they had noticed that a few of their fellow Vulpen had been skinned. The Maqku commanders said that the Aqku must have taken the skins as trophies, as had been done in the past. Whether it was true or not, the Vulpen did not believe the Maqku.

Sylus Horonto
There was the urge to run, but Sylus resisted. He knew what had to be done, but as he ran towards the front lines he wasn't quite sure what he wanted to do. As he went there were Maqku running to and from the front lines, it seemed that many were fearful.

He was nearly to the front lines when he saw a ladder leading to on top of the trenches. Climbing up he had a look around. Up where the Vulpens would be he noticed they had climbed atop their shelter and were firing down on the Aqku.

With this in mind he moved forward, jumping over the trenches. The way it worked, was that the Aqku were moving around the Vulpen, and then split as the trenches did, to move around and make like a pincer move, following the everything was laid out.

Sylus did some quick math and decided that if he dropped explosives on the opposite side of where the entrance to the Vulpens were, then he could get the dirt to shift, blocking the entrance, and allowing the Vulpens to take out the Aqku with ease.

He set it up, and dropped the explosives, taking off just after he did. Getting as far away as he could with still seeing the action, he watched as the dirt shifted just right, blocking the entrance and burying a few Aqku in the process, while blowing some to smithereens.

Sylus watched as the Vulpens pushed back the Aqku, while the Maqku troops on his side of things took care of the Maqku that had gotten past the entrance. He kind of relaxed where he was, staying vigilant, however, as he never could really know what to expect with the Aqku.

Nenimeindrol
A feeling was in the town that changed as Nenimeindrol spent time with the boy. He was doing the best he could, but the child acted like a child, paying attention at first, but then losing focus.

After about a week it seemed that it was perhaps too early to be trying to train the boy, but he didn't want to give up. A few days before he planned to leave, he took the boy into the woods and had a talk with him. He discussed things that the adults didn't like talking about, about the Maqku, and the dangers they brought with them with their avarice.

The town that the boy lived in was in a state far from the border, and they believed that nothing bad would happen to them there. Nenimeindrol, in his time at the church had been taught differently, and to the boy he imparted some of the knowledge that he had received.

The next day the boy was awake before Nenimeindrol, and trained harder then he had. Until the last day he trained, and as they said their good byes, Nenimeindrol felt that the boy would some day make a great knight.

Missions will be posted between Wednesday and Friday.
