Prelude, Choices, and Resolution

Haz'rd Vulpe
Prelude
Winterfest went over with a bang, and fondly Haz'rd recalled what happened...

Action
:: Held off in lieu of a special action section being devised. ::

Resolution, Written by Haz
Haz took a pull on his tankard sat back and watched the festivities. The entire village was gathered in the main square dancing, feasting and generally having a good time

All except for him, as he had too much on his mind. Though the Maqku had left for now they would be back with greater numbers that would overrun the Vulpen even with the defenses now being planed. He finished his tankard, the second of the night, and got up to fill it with the third.

"Who pissed in your breakfast this morning," a familiar voice behind him spoke. Haz turned around and came muzzle to muzzle with a grinning vixen of his own age

"If any one in the village did it was you," he retorted a grin of his own beginning to form, "How come your back? I thought your apprenticeship would last a lot longer," Lea’ra one of Haz’s bast friends through his kithood had left two years ago to learn the skills of a healer a profession her bouncy personality was well suited for she could get a smile out of a rock.

"Well when I heard that the 'great high commander Haz’rd Vulp' was leading a war against the enemies of the Vulpen I just had to come back," after the fits of laughter had subsided of course. Her face became serious for a moment "It sounds like you’ll be needing me."

"Probably," Haz’s frown descended once more, "We're out numbered and out gunned even if we take to the hills they’ll still roll us over eventually. We need allies and I have an idea of how to get them, but that’s for later. Grab a tankard and since you already know what I’ve been up to its time to tell your story."

Lea’ra smiled and grabbed Haz’s hand, "How about instead we cut a swathe through the dance floor," Haz acted like he’d been hit in the head by a brick, and possibly the whole cottage. The dances were for those who where considering becoming mates. Sure they’d been on good terms, very good terms, and when she’d left, and he’d oft dreamed of something akin to this, but actually going through with it?

Haz returned the grin "Okay but I’m not a very good dancer. Actually I’m not a dancer full stop," Lea just grinned and nuzzled him as she half dragged him into the dance. The rest of the night was a blur of dancing, laughter and pure joy of being with his new mate. And judging by the blur of pain when they woke up together the next morning much drinking also. There were still much to do and prepare before his plan could begin, but that could wait at least till this afternoon.

Ninemeindrol
Prelude
After a time the journey got dull, but finally he reached the monastary. After bathing and adorning his new clothing he got to work on focusing inward, reaching deeper into the power he felt. That, and doing lots, and lots of gardening.

Action
Ninemeindrol settled into the life of a monk well enough, and quicker then most did. It was almost as if he were doing things from memories past, which partly, he was. Deep introspection was the purpose most people became a monk for, and it was something Ninemeindrol was having trouble with.

It finally came to the point that a fellow monk offered a piece of advice, without actually saying anything, that could possibly help out.

Choices
1. Introspect on life in recent days.
2. Introspect on life as a child.
3. Envision different scenarios, and introspect on decisions possibly made.

Resolution
After much, much, much introspection of recent days, epiphanies come and go. Then lightly strikes the same spot fifteen times, and universal truths are brought to bare.

Semper Fidelis
Prelude
The light coming from the cave was very odd. Walking inside they felt a solid ground beneath them, but the floor was like nothing they had experienced in the Maqku nation. Even though they were high in the sky, and there was snow not ten feet from where they were standing, the ground was warm.

Then they noticed a pane of what looked like glass rose from above, and trapped them inside. Looking around they noticed a bunch of rooms. This place was very, very odd, each of them thought.

Action
They were in a hallway with a set of stairs at the end of it. There were many doors in this hallway, and a few seemed locked, though beyond turning the handle, no one wanted to proceed.

Semper Fidelis thought about this, and hoped what he chose would be the best course of action.

Choices
1. Keep together, descend the stairs.
2. Sent out a man or two down the stairs.
3. Keep together and explore the rooms.
4. Everyone goes somewhere, then reconvenes after a certain amount of time.
5. A mixture of the above.

Resolution
Down the stairs they went, keeping close. The lights flickered every now and then, but there was enough light to see by. On and on they went, seeming to go down forever into progressively dark areas. It was odd, they thought, deeper down usually meant more energy, but they realized that the doors must have held the energy to light this place. A feat, considered the smallest source of electricity was a huge factory the size of a small mountain.

Lights started coming from the walls, instead of from above the further they got down now. A pulsating humming sound rocked through their bodies in waves. A thought crept to them, "Could the commanders be right about the earthquake device?" Quick moments passed, and they were at the end of the line. Only a door remained now between them and the future.
